A very good way to deliver micro-enterprise development is through churches, because these are often at the heart of poor communities. Seedtime is ultimately made up of people, and there are a lot of us. We don't have space to show all our people on the site, but here are some of those involved in the development of Seedtime.
Paul Williams is Seedtime's Executive Director, and is based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Paul is also Eurasia Director for Radstock, Seedtime's international network partners, and travels widely outside of Mongolia in support of that work. Paul is single, loves the company of his friends, speaks Russian, and is learning Mongolian. He enjoys Mongolian long song and throat singing, but those close to him are thankful he doesn't do either! He likes travelling, mushy peas, and 'arol' (a Mongolian camel dairy snack) - and being left-handed!
Languages: English, Russian (and a growing cache of Mongolian!)
Tsermaa Natsagdorj is one of Seedtime's Trustees. … … … It is with real sorrow that we have to report the death of Natsagdorj following a car accident in July. You can read a tribute to Natsagdorj and his inspirational work here.
Agaa Lhaasuren is Chairman of Trustees. Principal advocate at Logos Associates, a prominent law firm based in Ulaanbaatar, Agaa is also an elder at Ulaanbaatar Christian Brethren Church. Agaa carried out the lion's share of our interface with the authorities during our registration process, and is our eye on legal developments here. With many year's experience in the Lord, the law and development projects here in Mongolia, Agaa, brings a valuable gift stream to the board of Seedtime. Agaa is married with four children.
Languages: Mongolian, Russian and English.
Purevsuren Munkhzul Trustee number 3. A social psychologist by training, Moogie is conducting ethnic research into the various people-groups of Mongolic heritage here in Central Asia. Paul has known Munkhzul for several years, along with his wife, Chimgee, and their young family. As well as enjoying their family, Moogie and Chimgee have interests in many areas of work. Chimgee teaches English and until recently served on the translation committee for the Mongolian Bible. Seedtime stands to benefit greatly from the breadth and depth of their experience, and we are grateful to God for them.
Languages: Mongolian, English, Russian and Mandarin Chinese.
Lubsan Toomerhuyag is our 4th Trustee. Tommerhuyag has led 'Monxiin Xair' (Eternal Love) Church since its beginning 16 years ago. That's very close to the beginning of today's church here in Mongolia! Churches and businesses here in Mongolia need more leaders of long-standing such as this. Seedtime's office is located at his church, and we are thankful to God and to the church there for making room for us!
Languages: Mongolian and Korean.
Ulziibayar Belegsaikhan (or Belgee for short) serves as our Director of Translation and Executive Assistant. Belgee was among the first believers in post-Soviet Mongolia, and has for a long time had a passion for 'civil society' and other forms of development. She didn't so much catch the Seedtime vision as reach out and grab it with both hands! Belgee is passionate to see people empowered to transform their situations and those of their communities through micro-enterprise development, and as such is a key asset to the Seedtime team. Belgee is married to Khentii, and they have three young children.
Languages: Mongolian, Russian and English.
E. Oyunjargal, or Oyuna, is our Accountant. She helps with the very important task of keeping our books straight in line with the law of Mongolia, thus also helping us to maintain the confidence of our supporters. Oyuna's working month is split between us and her role as chief accountant at Gobi Energy Partners. She has an MBA from the Institute of Finance and Economics in Ulaanbaatar, and strong experience from previous accounting positions including at XacBank, World Vision Mongolia and Mercy Corps, as well as policy roles in telecommunications and infrastructure development here.
Oyuna is married with three children.
Languages: Mongolian, Russian, English - and Finance!
B. Tuvshintugs is our 5th Trustee. Tugsuu, as she is known, is also Executive Director of MINA, a micro-finanace organisation based in Ulaanbaatar. MINA, as the name suggests, comes from the Biblical teaching that being trustworthy and faithful in small things leads us to be entrusted with bigger things. The tasks of micro-finance provision and micro-enterprise training have the greatest effect when they are synergised, and so Tugsuu brings a vital skill-set to our crew. To further this synergy, Paul (above) is also a Board member of MINA. Tugsuu is married with four children.
Languages: Mongolian and English.
